I had spend a lot of time reflecting regarding the limits of my beliefs and trying to not make others into the box of my own religion. When I asked my christian friends why they did not accept the gay marriage they answered things like: ''ahh, because I don't want my children see that and consider normal''. I was like: ''stop to being selfish, do you think the world turns around you? Shut up.''
And I have being favorable for a minimum of good sense to do not be a fundamentalist and try to accept all the sexual tastes.
Because first: religious fundamentalism is an absurdity for who do not follow the fundamentals of certain beliefs. Second: sexuality of people is not my business, is people nature or people choose. Third: because it is a question of freedom, of a human right, just!
However, later on, I watched a speech about politics regarding nowadays ideologies. The guy mentioned the secularism is what is the current status quo of the nowadays way of thinking. And everything which opposed to that it is labeled as a prejudice, everything which does not sounds as a progressive way of thinking should be dismantled. It apoints to conservatism as it it the evil of the world. But even all this perception regarding liberty is just a new kind of religion. It doesn't have builded temples, but that concept is builded on minds of people all the time in a way they even do not realize it.
If humanism is a religion, why should it be supported by a laic State?
I found it very important. I am not here to demonize the secularism as I did before with the conservative perception. But we need to be honest enough to assume even the notion all the truth is relative is an absolute.
